This is our official first blog, so it will be a good one! Over the past year we have made several changes to help you, our customer, reduce soft cost. At the same time these changes also help us focus on you more.
Change #1: As many of you know, we have “Free Sample Friday“, which we have done for years. In the last few months we have added “Web Specials“. This new program is designed to encourage internet ordering. At the first of each month our marketing staff will send you a “Promo Code” for our web special for the month. When you place your online order, you’ll simply enter the code and you will get a free product!
Change #2: Along with the web specials, our staff has been spending hours working in the computer system to help our customers save money. When you select an item online, if that item has a substitute at a lower cost, our system will let you know, giving you the opportunity to choose which item you want. We have had customer tell us this has saved them over 30% on their overall order.
Change #3: In Texarkana, we no longer have a retail supply area open to the public. In Mt. Pleasant and Carthage, we no longer offer faxing services. This allows our customer service staff to devote their time and energy to helping our commercial customers save time and money.
Change #4: Lastly, in July 2014, we launched our new website and ordering platform! This is the best site in the industry! Firmins.com is not just an ordering site, it is a resource to assist you in facilitating office efficiency and improving your bottom line.
